Our Philosophy

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.”

Our philosophy is simply this: to grow a variety of healthy, fresh-picked, great-tasting food.

To implement our philosophy, we use certified organic seeds and potting soil in our greenhouse.  These seedlings are then transplanted to certified organic fields and grown using certified organic procedures.  The result is vegetables, fruit, berries that look great, taste great and are healthy for you.  Healthy in that there are no pesticide residues on the produce, no added growth hormones in the meat and grown outside in rich soil and fresh air.

We raise our cows and pigs responsibly and as naturally as possible. This means they are pastured and fed hay and silage to supplement their diet in the winter.  They are not “certified” organic.

Dick and granddaughter MarciaOur philosophy follows those great, those natural cycles that our Creator gifted to these inhabitants of Earth. Waste products of plants and animals are the very essence of what is needed as nutrients for plants. A bear poops in the woods. Autumn leaves fall.  Next spring, both are composted into a rich natural fertilizer on which plants thrive and woodland animals thrive on the lush greenery of the plant. It is a wonderful natural cycle that we at Studio Farm Products try to emulate. It is a process that is good for you and good for our Mother Earth.

We work with Baystate Organic Certifiers and particpiate in the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA).
